Fonds consists chiefly of correspondence received by Harold Murchison Tovell, Ruth Massey Tovell and Vincent Tovell, most notably from their friends the French artist Jacques Villon and his wife Gaby from 1928 to 1962. Other correspondence concerns the lending and donation of family artworks. Also included are catalogues for exhibitions of the works of Jacques Villon and his brother Raymond Duchamp-Villon as well as inventories and photographs of Tovell family artworks and furnishings. The collection consists of research material gathered by Judith Rodger in the course of her work on the catalogue for the Art Gallery of Ontario exhibition Greg Curnoe: Life and Stuff. Collection includes audio recordings of Curnoe, published articles, photographs, ephemera, and eulogies for Curnoe. Sources for individual items include Jack Behrens, Glen Curnoe, Tony McAulay, and Brenda Wallace.

Fonds consists of a notebook commenced by Anna Belle Wing Kindlund in 1895, in which she recorded information on works of art and architectural monuments (chiefly European), with thumbnail-sized albumen prints of many of the items and occasional ink sketches. The notebook has alphabetical index tabs, and its entries are alphabetical according to city. The inscription on the frontispiece reads “Anna Belle Wing – B.S. ‘95”. The fonds is arranged in a single series.

Fonds consists of a household inventory of antique furniture, china, art, coins, military artifacts, geological and natural history specimens, rare books and family documents owned by Robert William Geary and family of Niagara Falls, Ontario. The inventory was commenced by Geary on January 24, 1913 and annotated by him until 1933.

The fonds consists first, of papers of Frances Loring: correspondence (largely genealogical), lists of her works, a collection of short stories, articles, newspaper clippings, information about Loring’s father, Frank C. Loring, and two etching plates. Second, papers and other materials of Florence Wyle: poems, diaries, journals, articles, biographical information (including birth certificates, passport), lists (including prices and exhibitions) of her works, and various etching plates. The third part of the fonds comprises a collection of photographs of works by both artists. The fonds consists of correspondence with art dealers, artists and public art institutions, invoices, shipping and customs forms and other documents relating to their involvement in the international art market in the mid-20th century. Carbon copies of letters written by the Zacks and letters written to them are included. The fonds also contains the administrative files kept by the Zacks: insurance lists, index cards for art and books, photographs and catalogues. The fonds includes the records of the Zacks’ involvement as board members in a variety of organizations relating to the arts, including agendas, memos, minutes of meetings, and travel arrangements. Correspondence files document the Zacks’ involvement in the State of Israel, through its cultural institutions, and communication with prominent citizens. Mrs. Zacks’ papers created after her husband’s death relate to her honourary degree, the Order of Canada, board activities and social involvement.
