The fonds consists of correspondence with art dealers, artists and public art institutions, invoices, shipping and customs forms and other documents relating to their involvement in the international art market in the mid-20th century. Carbon copies of letters written by the Zacks and letters written to them are included. The fonds also contains the administrative files kept by the Zacks: insurance lists, index cards for art and books, photographs and catalogues. The fonds includes the records of the Zacks’ involvement as board members in a variety of organizations relating to the arts, including agendas, memos, minutes of meetings, and travel arrangements. Correspondence files document the Zacks’ involvement in the State of Israel, through its cultural institutions, and communication with prominent citizens. Mrs. Zacks’ papers created after her husband’s death relate to her honourary degree, the Order of Canada, board activities and social involvement. Collection consists of correspondence between Avis Lang Rosenberg and Jack Chambers over a three-year period, slides created for the proposed book, transcriptions of taped interviews, contents of a notebook, poetry and prose written by Chambers, research notes, Lang’s writings on Chambers, exhibition catalogues and a private press publication containing illustrations by Chambers. Much of the material is present in photocopied form. File titles were assigned by Avis Lang, except where square brackets are used. The collection is arranged in a single series.

Fonds consists of the records of the Canadian Art Club, including minutes of the organization’s meetings, constitution and by-laws, membership lists, photographs of artworks, documents of incorporation (1909) and ultimate dissolution (1930s) and club financial records in the form of ledgers and a collection of bills and receipts. Materials related to club exhibitions and dinners are supplemented by an extensive collection of clippings from reviews in newspapers of the day. Correspondence forms a significant portion of the papers, especially that to and from Edmund Morris, secretary of the club for several years. Fonds consists of a household inventory of antique furniture, china, art, coins, military artifacts, geological and natural history specimens, rare books and family documents owned by Robert William Geary and family of Niagara Falls, Ontario. The inventory was commenced by Geary on January 24, 1913 and annotated by him until 1933.

The fonds consists of personal papers and correspondence, household receipts, farming accounts and correspondence, and solicitations for business, building contracts, building accounts, business receipts and correspondence, banking papers, income tax papers, legal papers, assessment rolls and tax notices for the Township of Nelson and the Municipality of Burlington, wartime papers, education papers, Federal government papers, voters’ lists, Fruit Growers Association Reports, Ontario Department of Agriculture bulletins and other booklets about growing fruit collected by Blair. There is also considerable material pertaining to Knox Presbyterian Church including annual reports, financial statements and account books, quit claims, mortgage, deeds etc., lists of subscribers to the building fund, membership list, and magazines. Items with very early dates were acquired by George Blair in course of his professional life. The fonds consists of textual materials and photographs. The textual material consists of a small number of original documents such as a hand-written letter from Mrs. Jane A. Whatmough to her daughter, Annie Louise Gallagher, dated 1904, wedding invitations and funeral a programme, as well as Gallagher and Whatmough family trees compiled by Howard Gallagher (1887-1997), a Whatmough Family History compiled by Janet (Whatmough) Cureton in 1974, and a 1932 yearbook of the Ontario Agricultural College and Macdonald Institute (Guelph). Included is a typescript, "Greenwood Farm", by Grant A. Whatmough, 1976 (225 pages). There are 80 photographs. Some had labels or inscriptions, others were identified with the assistance of Grant A.
