The fonds consists of copy prints of photographs taken by Chooutla (Carcross) Residential School teacher A. Richard King of his students and their school life in and around Carcross, Yukon. Subjects include Mr. King, Principal Lawson, Vice-Principal Walters, supervisors Miss Fennell, Miss Barstow and Beverly Bear, the school, tobogganing, and games and activities during Winter Carnival Days and Sports Day. Also included are images of the Matthew Watson General Store and tourists waiting to board the White Pass and Yukon Route (WP&YR) train at the Carcross station. Many of the students in the photographs are identified including Helen Malcolm, Dorothy Johnnie, Judy Hager, Vivian Smith, Velma Silas, Ben Johnson, Nancy Tizya, Virginia Simon and Ann Smith.

The fonds consists of copies of four hand-written (and transcribed) letters Aaron Moulton wrote to his wife and children during the year he spent in the Yukon's Klondike from 1897-1898. Also included is a list of people mentioned in Aaron Moulton's letters.

Fonds consists of drawings, watercolours and designs of A. H. Howard produced in Toronto between 1880 and 1914, especially in the sketchbooks in which Howard drew Ontario landscapes and towns, flowers, trees, human figures, factory interiors and other subjects. Similar drawings and watercolours are contained in two albums and a portfolio. Also included are examples of his decorative and calligraphic work from illuminated presentation addresses, certificates, bookplates and other materials.

Fonds consists of a notebook commenced by Anna Belle Wing Kindlund in 1895, in which she recorded information on works of art and architectural monuments (chiefly European), with thumbnail-sized albumen prints of many of the items and occasional ink sketches. The notebook has alphabetical index tabs, and its entries are alphabetical according to city. The inscription on the frontispiece reads “Anna Belle Wing – B.S. ‘95”. The fonds is arranged in a single series.

Collection consists of correspondence between Avis Lang Rosenberg and Jack Chambers over a three-year period, slides created for the proposed book, transcriptions of taped interviews, contents of a notebook, poetry and prose written by Chambers, research notes, Lang’s writings on Chambers, exhibition catalogues and a private press publication containing illustrations by Chambers. Much of the material is present in photocopied form. File titles were assigned by Avis Lang, except where square brackets are used. The collection is arranged in a single series.

The fonds consists primarily of video recordings of interviews, meetings, seminars, performances, and local footage shot in Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, East Timor and Indonesia. It consists of 178 video recordings including 97 beta tapes (large and small), 80 VHS tapes and a broadcast DVD and 6 audio recordings. Many of the video elements include both a beta and VHS copy. The fonds is divided into three series. The largest consists of beta and VHS tapes of raw footage and background research shot or collected by Briere from Canada, the United Kingdom, Indonesia and East Timor. This series also includes six audio recordings. There is a separate series of video recordings of lectures and interviews with Noam Chomsky regarding East Timor recorded during his visit to Vancouver in March 1996. The third series consists of beta masters of the finished documentary, including video in NTSC and PAL formats, and English, French and Swedish language versions. Much of the content of Bitter Paradise consists of interviews with Canadian and foreign individuals engaged in the events in East Timor, either as businessmen, bureaucrats or politicians working with the Indonesian government on trade and development projects in East Timor, or as activists, dissidents, and supporters of the liberation movements within the island nation. In Canada, interviews with Warren Allmand, David Kilgour and Svend Robinson (federal Members of Parliament), David Webster of the East Timor Alert Network, Geoffrey Robinson (Amnesty International, now UCLA History Department), portray the interests of those supporting the resistance, while Colin Baker (Simons Engineering), David Mundy (Kilbourn Engineering) and Ron Richardson (Asia Pacific Foundation) identify business and development opportunities in East Timor and Indonesia for Canadian companies. There are insights on East Timor supplied through interviews with local and international actors including Noam Chomsky, Carmel Budiardjo (an Indonesian dissident and founder of TAPOL) an Amnesty International prisoner of conscience, Constancio Pinto (former guerrilla fighter and currently Timor Leste Ambassador to Washington) and Muchtar Pakpahan, a labour leader jailed repeatedly in Indonesia who, in 2011, resigned as head of the Indonesian Labour Party. The documentary also includes live footage from international broadcasters (BBC, Australian Broadcasting Corp.) of the Dili Massacre (Santa Cruz Cemetery) in November 1991, when more than 260 protesters were killed by Indonesian troops. The broadcast filming of that event, first shown on ITV, UK in 1992, was pivotal in the campaign to bring western nations to apply pressure for independence, achieved a decade later. The fonds also contains archival film footage from the Portuguese era of East Timor, film on projects being undertaken in the country by the Roman Catholic Church, smuggled footage of the East Timorese resistance movement in countryside, footage of Indonesian troops being trained in Australia and of the Indonesian invasion of East Timor.

File consists of three photographs of buildings; one of a Municipal Building in Rayside Balfour, one of Ecole Ste. Marie in Azilda, and one of a sky view of buildings in Azilda. File also contains two annotated colour photocopies of the sky view picture of Azilda.

Gauthier, Denis Landry, E.T. Littlefield, N. Mainville, W. Petersen, and G. Pirie. Board affiliations with other trustee associations, conference attendance, teacher upgrading courses, faculty and staff employment, building renovations, supplies, field trips, renting school space to the Blezard-Hanmer High School Board for teaching, changes in the curriculum, smoking by students at a graduation dance, windstorm damage to school building, creation of a playing field at the back of the school, a contract with Canadian Union of Public Employees, instillation of a punch clock and other topics are discussed. Internal correspondence between the school board and the trustees (including a letter with two photostat pages attached concerning the Canadian Union of Public Employees and Chelmsford Valley District Composite High School Board non-teaching employees), a xerox copy of a Disposition of Dispute between the Chelmsford Composite School Board and the non-teaching employees, a certified true copy of an item of business that transpired at a special meeting of the Chelmsford Valley District High School Board on February 24th, 1966 involving Section 89 of the Labours Relation Act section 202 RSO 1960, non-teaching staff strikes, a memorandum concerning unlawful picketing at the school and the need to send letters to ratepayers with a copy of the salary schedule of the janitorial staff, and handwritten notes on lined paper are also included in the minute book.

The first church extract from the parish register confirms the dates of birth for Matti Niilo Kantokoski (March 23, 1901), his wife Anna Milja (Sept. 24,1903), and their daughter Eeva Annikki (May 8, 1924). The church record also notes the date Matti Kantokoski married his wife Anna (Nov. 24, 1923) and his date of death (May 15, 1956). The record is dated May 13, 1961 and signed by J. Laurila. The second church extract from the parish register confirms the date of birth for Eeva Annikki Kantokoski (May 8, 1924), the date she was baptized (May 19, 1924), the names of her parents (Matti Niilo Kantokoski & Anna Milja), the names of her godparents (Kustaa Kantokoski & Aino Kantokoski) and the name of the pastor who baptized her (J.H. Peltokallio). This record is dated June 13, 1973 and is signed by O.M. Tunturi. The Certificate of Confirmation was issued to Eeva Annikki Koski, indicating her confirmation at the Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sudbury, Ontario on July 23, 1939, signed by pastor [Mathew Lepisto].
